Hi! Welcome to my page, I am an Animal Science major along with a minor in Spanish, working towards my dream of becoming a Veterinarian. As a Hispanic woman from a STEM field, coming from an economically disadvantaged background, I have worked hard to overcome challenges and pursue opportunities that will have an impact on my community. 
Studying abroad is more than just an academic experience, it is a way to expand my knowledge on animal welfare abroad and a way to enhance my Spanish fluency, as well to gain more cultural awareness that will help me serve better in my future as a veterinarian. 
By supporting this, you are not just helping me achieve my educational and career goals, but are investing in someone that is interested and devoted to giving better veterinary care to underrepresented communities. After my experience, I plan to share my knowledge with my peers and mentors, as well as anyone interested in international education, and work towards making veterinary services more accessible to Spanish-speaking populations, coming from personal experiences.
