Help Nuwan Continue His Education and Achieve His Dreams

Hello, my name is Nuwan, and I am an 18-year-old student from Sri Lanka. I am currently in Grade 13, the final year of school in our education system. Next August, I will be sitting for the GCE Exam, a life-changing milestone for students in Sri Lanka.

As a student under the Mathematics Scheme, I study Physics, ICT, and Combined Mathematics. The GCE Exam is highly competitive—out of around 250,000 students who sit for it each year, only about 15,000 are selected for government universities. It is crucial to excel, as this exam determines our future opportunities.

While I attend school, tuition classes are essential for success in this exam due to the level of competition. I have been studying online with the help of a computer and internet connection. However, attending these classes requires approximately 76 CAD monthly for internet and 96 CAD for tuition fees.

Unfortunately, my family has been struggling financially. My parents are hardworking farmers who faced massive challenges during Sri Lanka’s economic crisis over the past two years. Fuel shortages, as well as limited access to seeds and fertilizers, caused significant losses. Although they are doing everything possible to recover, the cost of living remains high, and income from farming is still insufficient.

Since August this year, I have been unable to attend my online classes because we can no longer afford the fees. With less than 10 months until the exam, consistent education is more critical than ever.

To cover my tuition and internet expenses up to August 2025, I need to raise a total of 1400 USD. I humbly ask for your support to help me continue my studies and achieve my dream of attending university.
