I believe this internship will have a great impact on my career and business endeavors. It will have an even greater impact on young black women who dared not dream big because someone convinced them that their dreams are too big for their pockets. The InternGroup receives about 20 000 applications every year and only about 1 500 applications are successful. I'm more than honoured to be part of the 1 500 successful applicants. I have loved London from as young as 11 years old, when I was exposed to it by English writers such as Shakespeare, Sir Walter Scott and Charles Dickinson. The city encapsulates all my business and personal interests in fashion, food, art and literature. The knowledge I will get will go a long way in assisting me to start and run a sustainable business.
