My Travel Story

This opportunity to study abroad is going to be life changing. I have the chance to become exposed, immersed, and familizarized with diverse people and customs. The program offers internships that work with nonprofit governmental organizations, so this could mean working for immigration, child services, or any type of public policy in general. Knowing that I have the ability and opportunity to make a difference for the people in Czech's society really inspires me to continue my journey towards law school. Studying abroad is also a privilege and I greatly appreciate the opportunity. My dad immigrated from Nicaragua when he was 8 years old and since then he hasn't found the time to travel out of the country. My dad seeing me travel to Czech would make him very happy and proud. It would also be an extremely personal experience for me particularly if I do an immigration internship as I will get to see what people like my dad went through when he came to the United States and what it was like to have to integrate into a new country.
