Hello! My name is Maya:) I had the privilege to study abroad before in Uganda, and ever since then, I have been bitten by the travel bug! I have always self-funded all of my own trips, but unfortunately, Covid knocked out all my future plans to study abroad. My desire has always been to study abroad as much as possible before entering the workforce, yet with a heavy heart Covid delayed that dream, and my constant efforts of sourcing study abroad scholarships are no longer an opportunity for an upcoming undergraduate. I am passionate about travel because I truly think that if everyone were to travel, a lot of the world's problems would be solved. I chose this destination because I hope to be enlightened as much as possible for as long as possible with other open-minded individuals. This opportunity will impact me tenfold by humbling me and releasing ethnocentric views that we all may carry. I believe that travel makes everyone a better person.
