My Travel Story

by: Leah Brown Start Date: Nov 15, 2016 - End Date: Mar 14, 2017

I recently received my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Texas A &M. I hope to become a lawyer in the future. I believe that I can take what I learn and apply it to my future endeavors in law. I believe it is very important to know how to appeal to your audience. Being an anthropology major I have the skills to empathize and relate to people from various backgrounds. A marketing internship would enable me to hone my skills while helping the company raise its profile and the value of its merchandise. I hope to learn Spanish fluently so that I can help a more diverse group of individuals as a lawyer.

My current position as a legal assistant has taught me the importance of being detailed oriented; to prevent errors from occurring frequently. My attention to detail will work to my advantage during my internship. As a former student of Texas A&M University I know how extraordinarily imperative it is to take good notes so that I can work independently if need be. As an intern I hope to obtain all the knowledge I can pertaining to the marketing field. My eagerness to grasp foreign concepts through notation and hard work will enable me to be a valuable asset to the company during my internship abroad. As an anthropology major I have always felt compelled to ask questions when clarification was needed. I believe my willingness to ask for help will assist me overseas in a foreign country that I am not necessarily familiar with.
