Valencia, Spain study abroad!
My Travel Story
I've lived in a suburban "bubble" for my entire life, and the thought of going out into the world, meeting new people, seeing new things, and having one-of-a-kind experiences is some sort of unimaginable dream. Travel offers you truly unique experiences and education that you simply cannot absorb in a classroom. This is why I want to study abroad, and, more importantly, live a life filled with travel.
I chose Valencia, Spain because of my past Spanish courses in high school and my intense desire for immersion and fluency in the language. Spanish culture is so beautiful and vibrant as well, and I've heard that Spanish people are some of the kindest in the world. Also, who could say no to the birthplace of paella? (seriously!)
I am currently a freshman at Arizona State University and i am majoring in mechanical engineering. Being an engineering student, I think that experiencing a different way of life and new ways of viewing things is vital. It inspires innovation, which is key in the world of engineering. I feel that travel is also essential in todays globalized economy, and the ones who get to see the world are the ones who will be competitive for jobs in the future.
My excitement to finally get out into the world and experience everything it has to offer is boundless. If you could help in any way to alleviate some costs related to housing, food, and independent travel it would mean the world to me. ¡Gracias muchísimo para ayudarme en logrando mis sueños!
