My Travel Story

by: Kristian Lamarre Start Date: Apr 11, 2019 - End Date: May 30, 2019
This is the thirteenth year Boston Trinity Academy has taken students on  a missions trip to Nepal in June right after the school year is over. While we have worked with a number of programs, the work that has consistently impacted us the most has been our time with ABBS (Asha Bai Vikas Sewa) , a school in Kathmandu for students with physical, cognitive, and special needs.

I am thrilled about the opportunities that are ahead for me.  Since Hearing about this opportunity to serve, to explore a new country and  to build stronger relationships with both my peers and cultivate new relationships with the people of Nepal, I have been excitedly waiting my turn to cross the ocean and create change and spread possibilities in a region of the world where equal opportunity for many has been deemed impossible. Upon hearing the captivating testimonies of previous students who had ventured to Nepal I fell in love with the stories of meeting these wonderful people ranging from young boys and girls to men and women who share a slice of their lives with BTA students for three weeks as we immerse ourselves in their culture and gradually develop a brotherhood or sisterhood with them.

We help impact people whom have been abandoned by their own people and seen as unworthy in the eyes of society. Our help seeks to break the cycles of poverty and illicit trafficking as we spread love, education and opportunity through our caring time.  Our team consists of six student and two faculty members.

I need to raise $2,500 to pay for this trip. I would greatly appreciate if you could make a financial contribution of any amount to help support my journey. We are scheduled to leave for Nepal on June 1 and I need to have at least half of the money in by April 20 in order to pay for my plane ticket.

I give thanks in advance for your prayers and possible support, and I look forward to reporting all the ways I saw God at work in the lives of the people in Nepal, when I return home the end of June.

With much gratitude,
