My name is Brittney Fucheck and my best friend and I are planning to travel to Japan for a study abroad program!

Since we were young we have been enchanted by Japanese culture. From its traditions, religion, cuisine, pop culture, fashion, and collectivism, Japan has been a culture we wanted to experience first hand.

Personally speaking, I want to use Japan as assurance towards my goals and aspirations in life. I am an art major and the inspiration this month long trip will ignite in me is once in a lifetime. My mother, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, and uncle have all traveled to Japan on multiple occasions. Now it is my turn to realize their affinity for this country. The most exciting part is that they have famiy friends that I wish to finally meet once I reach my destination. 

I am extremely eager to learn and grow from the month Japan will put me through.Through the culture shock and the language, I feel that Japan is a major stepping stone in my life that I must reach in one way or another.
