My Travel Story

I am working towards funding my trip to the beautiful Unesco heritage site of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. This magical city has always been a place of interest to me and jumped on the opportunity to study reading and writing magical realism. I am an active History and Latin American Studies major at Arizona State University and my long-term career goal is to study and spread Latin American history. My hope is to involve others in history so we can learn more about ourselves and the natural world. Additionally, I am the first-generation daughter of two Mexican immigrants who have worked hard to push me toward a better life while still keeping me strongly connected to our culture. This trip means the world to me, in furthering the connection to my roots and learning about the culture firsthand.
