Do you ever have those nights where you stay up for hours on end and your mind just won't stop? It feels hopeless to try and turn your brain off and nothing you do will make the noise end. That's my mind, constantly. Every hour of the day. Every second that I am awake the noise and anxiety fills my head to the point it is agonizing. I can not force myself to sleep but rather wait out my own mind, until it eventually decides to quiet. No matter where I go the noise always follows. My one escape though.. has always been the beach. It was never about the sun and the sand for me. It was the idea of looking out into the water. It's the thought of how endless it seems to go on and the depths it entails that we truly will never know. If my mind may not quiet then maybe the thought of something bigger that my thoughts could turn down the noise, even for a little while.
