Study Abroad in Madrid!
My Travel Story
My name is Michelle Rodriguez. I am a senior at Western Oregon University where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a focus in Latin American Studies and minoring in Social Science.
Recently, I have been accepted into the CISabroad Summer in Madrid program for the summer of 2018! I will be abroad for 30 days, studying Spanish literature and Spaniard art. Throughout my educational adventure, I would like to enhance my understanding of art and fluency in Spanish by applying the knowledge and information learned in class to our excursions, and throughout my time in Madrid. I want to diversify myself and become comfortable studying and learning outside of the United States. However, this trip will not be possible without a lot of sacrifice. I am receiving some financial aid through my school, but it is not able to cover all the expenses for this trip. Working two part-time jobs and with the financial aid help from school I have been able to save up half the amount needed for this trip, but it is still not enough.
This is why I am turning to you -- my family, friends, and members of the community who have supported my journey and growth for so many years. With your continued support and contribution, whatever it may be, I will be able to pay for my books, supplies, international student ID card, fees, tuition, and more.
I do not know if this opportunity will ever become available to me again, so please help make this dream possible! Anything helps!
With much love and appreciation,
Michelle Rodriguez
