Help a first generation college student tour schools
My Travel Story
I'm a first generation student who recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with two Bachelors of Science. I am finishing up my Masters now and applying to earn both my Clinical Psychology PhD and law degree. Working full time while earning my Masters, most of my money goes to my degrees and to help my mom, a recent breast cancer survivor, with rent. Touring schools is essential in making an impression with the admissions team beyond being a piece of paper on their desks. It also gives people like me who require financial aid a chance to meet with their teams and discuss financial aid options, while getting a feel for the campus. This is incredibly important for us first generation students who wouldn't know anything about college life by any other means except living it. Therefore, I'm looking to try to travel to as many of these schools as possible. I've been passionate about the fields of clinical psychology and law for as long as I can remember and can't wait to be able to give back to the community through those means.
