My Travel Story
I am a single mother of two, and I have had the privilege of raising both of my children on my own. While we have not had the opportunity to travel internationally, as it has always been financially out of reach, we have always made the most of what we have.
My youngest daughter is currently a senior in high school and is in the process of selecting colleges and universities for the upcoming year. She has received interest from several universities in Germany, particularly for a program in Environmental Science, which she is passionate about. One of these universities is offering a week-long camp as part of the program, but unfortunately, they do not provide funding for travel or accommodations.
The trip is scheduled for December, and while we have managed to cover most of the expenses, we are still short $2,000. This opportunity would not only allow my daughter to explore her academic interests in person, but also give her the invaluable experience of immersing herself in a different culture, as well as learning more about the country, the food, and the people.
I am reaching out in the hope of securing support for this trip, as I fear I may not be able to provide this life-changing experience for her on my own.
