For my 29th Birthday, I decided to dedicate a week in Porto, Portgual where I will be volunteering for the Young Moms Project. The Young Moms Project helps single moms navigate challenges of parenting on their own. These moms are working towards developing a support system moving forward to ensure a bright future of themselves and their child(ren). Volunteer supporting these moms and their chidlren include teaching them English, watching over their babies, facilitaing workshops and activities that promote arts and crafts, home economics, and education. 

I am passionate about this project because empowered womxn empower womxn. I am truly committed to inspiring moms to believe with all their hearts that they are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. My deepest passion is to support and uplift them as they navigate their journeys, helping them flourish not only as incredible individuals but also as powerful, confident women—personally and professionally. 

I hope to positively contribute to the community by supporting mothers and their children. The experience I have gained as an educator, along with the knowledge I have acquired through my Gender and Women's Studies classes, will help me to make a meaningful and effective impact.
