My Travel Story

I have always had a huge passion for helping people, which is why I ended up working in support work. Nurturing my skills as a natural caregiver. I always find myself even in day to day life supporting others where I can, even if it's just providing advice or an ear to listen. I also love traveling and want to continue doing it as much as possible. So I thought to myself recently, why not combine my love for travel with my talent for caring and supporting people?
I work full time as a support worker with a variety of wonderful people of all ages and every experience with them brings me joy. The thought of gaining opportunity and life experience to work with children in Kenya is such an honour.

So that's what brings me here. In February 2024 I'm going to Kenya for 10-14 days with IVHQ group support.

I feel like I have a lot to give and have a positive personality that can make a positive impact on the children over there. I hope to be a great role model to them, and cannot wait to meet them - for them to change my life!

I'm dedicated and passionate to this cause. I've always dreamed of exploring new cultures, and with Kenya being one of my top destinations, why not turn this trip into something helpful by volunteering?


On a personal note - the last couple of years have been challenging and I've managed to find the positive in a lot of bad situations. I've been able to fight through it and find a new strength. This will be an amazing chance to plant and spread that mentality where it is needed.

The money raised on this page won't only go towards the expenses of flights and the programme I will be partaking in. But also go towards giving the children more resources. I am looking to spend up too two weeks in Kenya, depending on how much I can raise to stay out there. Any help is gratefully appreciated.
