My Travel Story

Hi all, I'm a single dad living in Atlanta Georgia. Been divorced for 5 years now. My ex-wife and I have 2 boys and 2 girls. My ex holds alot of bitterness and resentment over the split and is constantly putting me through the legal system over anything she can think of. She is the only child of a multimillionaire and uses her daddy's money to make my life a living hell. I will spare you all the messy details......unless you actually want to hear them. But in a nutshell, my children loves their dad (me) very much and every year they ask me to take them to the beach.....and every year I have to tell them that I don't have the money. I don't tell them everything their mom does to me because I want them to have a good relationship with their mom and I believe kids should be protected from not-so-pleasant adult issues. I have a pretty decent job with a finance company but just to put it in perspective for you, I make about 90K per year but I've had to pay her about $12,000 over the past couple of months between expenses that she claims that I owe plus attorneys fees. Once that matter is resolved, you can almost guarantee she will be coming at me with another one in the near future. You're probably asking yourself why she hates me so much. That's actually a mystery to everyone. I was the one taking kids to sporting practices and games while she was having an affair for the last year or our marriage. She is a well-known business owner in the town that we live in and the only thing i could ever conclude is that she has tried to divert the attention away from her affair by starting a smear campaign against me. I pay her over $1000 per month child support but it's never enough. A condition of our divorce decree is that I'm responsible for 50% of all expenses (only paying CS for 1 child, the other 3 are over 18). Her dad gives her all the money in the world that she ever needs so therefore she buys expensive things constantly for our child which ultimately leaves me responsible for half. It has just been extremely tough for me and I would love to be able to take my kids on a trip somewhere. Even if it's just an unknown beach in Florida. Just me and the kids have never been able to do this. She takes them on trips all the time because obviously her father has vacation homes and unlimited resources. I'm just a single dad struggling to make ends meet. If I could just save up enough money to take them to a beach somewhere, I think it would be the best trip we've ever had and would be so good for all of us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
