My Story and Why I Need Your Support
My name is success Maluleke, I am 14 years old and currently in Grade 8 at Hoërskool Gerrit Maritz. I have been chosen to take part in the Academic Achievers International Tour — a huge honor that I am very proud of.
Being selected means a lot to me because it shows that my hard work and dedication at school are being noticed. I take my studies very seriously and always aim to do my best, not just for myself but also to make my school and my family proud. Opportunities like this don’t come around often, especially for learners my age, and I see this tour as a chance to learn, grow, and experience a world beyond my classroom.
This tour to the United states will allow me to see new cultures, visit world-class universities, and gain a broader view of education and life. I believe it will inspire me to dream bigger, work harder, and bring back valuable knowledge and experiences to share with my friends and community.
However, the reality is that the cost of this tour is something my family cannot afford on our own. I come from a background where every cent is stretched, and while my parent(s) work hard to provide for me, we simply do not have the financial means to cover such a big opportunity. Missing out on it because of money would be heartbreaking for me.
That is why I am asking for your support. By sponsoring me, you are not only helping me join this tour, but you are investing in my future. You are helping a young South African child to grow into a leader, a dreamer, and hopefully one day someone who can give back to others the way I have been helped.
