The Journey Ahead
I’m embarking on an unforgettable journey, and I need your help to make it happen! My plan is to fly down to Washington State and pick up a unique Kei truck—a compact Japanese mini truck that will be my trusty companion for this road trip adventure. The truck will be checked over at my brother-in-law’s or cousin’s house to make sure it’s in top shape before hitting the road.

From there, I’ll drive to Eastern Oregon, where my wife’s family lives and where I have storage with items I’ll need for the trip. I’ll make sure everything is dialed in, load up my gear, and get ready for the next leg.

Join the Caravan!
I’m also looking for others who want to caravan with me from Washington to Alaska! If you have your own vehicle—especially other Kei trucks—come along for part or all of the adventure. It’s more fun traveling together, and this is a great way to show what these little trucks can do on real North American roads.

Why This Journey Matters
This trip is more than just a road trip—it could be my last chance to take on something like this. I’ve been living with type 2 diabetes, and I’m starting to have complications, especially with my feet. So this is my chance to take on a dream adventure while I still can.

On top of that, my father just had open-heart surgery, and I want to visit him in California, spend time together, and reconnect with family and friends I haven’t seen in years. This trip isn’t just about the truck—it’s about family, memories, and finding meaning in the road ahead.

I’ll be filming everything, from the build to the journey to the people I meet. The plan is to end up in Anchorage, Alaska, where I’ll settle in with the truck and share everything I learned.

Promoting Kei Trucks
This trip is also about showcasing Kei trucks—tiny but mighty! These little workhorses are popular in Japan but underappreciated here. I want to show how practical, reliable, and fun Kei trucks can be for everyday life, adventure, and more.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Buying the Kei truck and doing the basic maintenance and upgrades.
Modifications to make it road-ready for long miles.
