My Travel Story

I was introduced to Japanese culture in middle school when a friend of mine introduced me to anime. During this time, I was going through a lot of change, some good and some bad. Anime remained a constant in my life. This piqued my interest in Japanese literature and animation.

I choose the focus of my major, film on animation because of how much I loved Japanese animation and how it influenced some of my favorite animated shows.

With this trip, I hope to drive more into the culture and learn about how Japanese history has affected its liberal arts such as its film, art, and architecture (another field I am interested in). Hopefully, this will give me a better understanding of Japan and my own field of interest and work.
I have always wanted to go to Japan and now that dream is becoming more of a reality, I just need a little help getting it there.
