HIV/AIDS is a growing problem in in the West African country of Ghana. With nearly a quarter-million cases, understanding how to combat this disease is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the nation. This is why I intend to travel to Ghana and work with fellow undergraduate students & professors to grasp the devastating effects it has on local villages there. In addition, taking the time to work with local leaders to educate the youth about steps that they can take to bring this illness under control & reduce their own risk. Aiming to launch the project in the Autumn of 2021, raising at least $1,000 would provide assistance with supplies for Ghanian children, airfare, tuition, housing & food. Thank you for your time and with your help, we can curb the ravaging impact of HIV together!
