My grandmother was a free spirit who believed in the magic of the open road. She traveled far and wide throughout her life and lived fully until the beautiful age of 102. One thing she always told me was:
 
"Follow where your heart takes you — that's where you'll find your life."
 
Her words stayed with me. Today, I’m honoring her message and her memory by embarking on a road trip across the United States to experience the heart of this country — one meal, one town, and one historic spot at a time.
