My Travel Story

For those who do not know, I plan to study abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica for the Spring 2017 semester. If you know me, you know I have an immense passion to travel, learn other languages, and study history and culture. I took Spanish all four years of high school, and I am continuing to take courses in college. Studying in a Spanish-speaking country will not only benefit my study of the Spanish language, but broaden my knowledge of the Spanish culture. I am an International Studies and Spanish major, with a concentration in Latin American Studies. The program for which I plan to attend will only help me in my finishing of my bachelors degree, on top of all the other benefits. These [benefits] include: immersing myself in another culture, experience their way of living, and meet incredible people from not just Costa Rica, but all over the world. I will take intensive Spanish classes and electives that will fulfill my general education, Spanish major, and Latin American concentration requirements.

The most amazing part is not just what I will learn, but the overall growth I will acquire along the way. I couldn't be more excited for what this journey has instore!

I am asking for any kind of support to achieve these educational goals. My expense breakdown shows everything, but my financial aid actually covers a large portion. I am short roughly $2,500! That is the true goal.
