My Travel Story

Hi everyone! In November 2019 I was offered the opportunity to travel to South Australia and work with the university on start up businesses for the next two years. Having been to the country over fifteen years ago, I'd fallen in love with its amazing beauty. Without hesitation I accepted the position, knowing I could be making a change for the better.

One of these startups is a publisher who will be creating dyslexia-friendly books and I love the idea of being part of something that can make a difference to people's lives.

The support from the SA government came through much quicker than I was expecting, and I have just been granted my visa (also much faster than I was expecting). This is a temporary visa that will only last for two years regardless of when I step foot in the country and so now am faced with the prospect of getting there as soon as I can.

I'm not used to setting up pages like this but given the exceptional switftness of the paperwork being completed, I now find myself in need of help to make this dream a reality.

I see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity that won't be offered again and it's perhaps the only way I will be able to make this dream a reality. Over the past five years I've struggled in the UK with debt not of my own making and this feels like a brand new start - if only that famous obstruction, money, wasn't in the way!

I'm on my way to having the funds I need, but with such a short timeframe and the usual bills to pay for my life at home, savings are not piling up as quickly as they need to!
