Hi!


I'm Raena, and I am excited to share that this January, I will be volunteering in Cape Town, South Africa, for three weeks! I will be supporting kids at a local daycare and school, working hands-on with their early education, daily care, and creating a safe, joyful environment where kids can learn, play, and grow. Over the past few years, I've worked and volunteered with children in a variety of settings - through church, youth programs, and as a youth mentor for children with disabilities. These experiences have shown me how important it is for kids to feel seen, supported, and safe. Now I have the opportunity to extend that care beyond my community, serving in a completely new environment.


I chose South Africa not only for its beauty and to experience the unfamiliar, but to step out of my comfort zone to gain a new perspective on the world and prepare myself for the next chapter of my life. Many of the children I will be working with come from underserved communities and face daily challenges. As a volunteer, I will bring energy, compassion, and support where it is needed most, making an impact on so many young children's lives. However, I can't do it alone. Your support will help cover flights, program fees, and accommodations during my stay. Every donation brings me one step closer to creating a lasting impact, and I'm grateful for any help you can offer!
