My Travel Story

Hi everyone, Dominique here!

In January I have the special opportunity to study abroad in Bhubaneswar for about two weeks. 

The reason why I want to go on this exciting trip is not only because I love Indian culture and have since I was 14 (25 now), but I am also in a graduate program to get my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since I will be working with an abundance of different individuals from different cultural backgrounds, I want to be competent enough with multiple backgrounds of people in order to be a diverse and thoughtful therapist. 

The primary reason for this program is that we will be researching the sustainablity, public health, and environment in this part of India. We will be visting a university in Bhubaneswar in order to learn more about these topics and what we can do to help. 

This will be a culture shock but I believe I have prepared myself for the best of it. I am extremely exicted to have this opportunity, but I need help to buy the plane ticket and tuition for this study abroad program. My trip is Janurary 2nd through the 15th of 2018.
