My Travel Story

In mid-September of this year I will be traveling to a town near Seville, Spain to improve English learning in a school there for the coming school year.  The town is called Alcala de Guadaira and is about 30 min. outside of Seville. 

My goal is increase the students exposure to the English language while also sharing the language through culture and real experiences such as extracurricular activities.  Previous generations of children in Spain have not had the opportunity to learn English.  It is important to offer this opportunity to this generation as it will be invaluable to them as they grow up and assimilate into the greater world.  

Spain has an amazing culture and people.  I wanted the opportunity to give back in some way, and further developing the English learning program in this school and community is a great way to do that.  It will also help with my personal growth as I work toward a career in International Development.  

I will be committed to the school for 20 hours per week and will also try to do private tutoring to cover all of my living costs there.  By your donations I will be better able to cover my living costs and the other costs of the program.  This will then help me to better focus my time on helping these children and the school
