My Travel Story

by: Claudia Hayes Start Date: Jun 1, 2017 - End Date: May 31, 2018

Hi ! My name is Claudia and I am currently studying to become a welder. I recently started to participate to volunteering projects across the world, and I can't tell you how much impact it makes to the community you're working in and how much it made me become a better person, always wanting to give more of my time and money to help people in need.

I really want to do the ''Great White Sharks Project'' because of the impact it can give to the population. With this program, we get to educate the population about these gigantic beasts and to prove them that they are not as dangerous as we think they are. Also, if we can reduce the hunt of these sharks just a little bit with our help, it would be a big step in the conservation of these prehistoric fishes.

I've always loved animals, I want to help them for all the bad we caused to them in the last centuries. And this time, I want to help not only the ones living on earth, but also the ones we don't see: the ones in the ocean. I know it makes a real impact, I want to be part of the cause of this impact.

Unfortunatly, as a student, I do not have the chance to make a lot of money, working 10 hours a week, and to save it for my volunteering projects abroad, since I have a lot of things to pay for my studies, and that's why I am starting to fundraise to help me pay a part of my experience, at least.

I can't do as much volunteering as I would around the world, and that's making me upset, since I now know how much of an impact it makes for the people you are helping there.

Thank you a lot, really. With every fundraise, you're helping me to get closer to my dream and to help other people around the world!
