My Travel Story

I recently retired as a Physical Education Teacher in my home country of Trinidad. It is unfortunate that I will have to wait for a period of 9 months to 1 year to receive my gratuity and to begin receiving my monthly pension. Despite the fact that I filed the required documents in the stipulated time required by my employer, The Ministry of Education in Trinidad and Tobago.

My daughter is a Freshman at Morgan State University in Baltimore pursuing a degree in Computer Science. She has been excelling. All of my savings have been put towards this venture. With the expectation that I would receive the funds that is due to me on retirement, I would have been able to be financially secure and comfortably cover the expenses.

She has to move out of dorm at the end of the academic year. I will need to travel to the USA to assist her with that move.

I would also like to have a brief vacation with her to a state to which we have not been together. It is our tradition to visit different places and spend quality time together exploring and making memories.

This trip will give her the opportunity to have a meaning full break before returning to get a summer job and preparing for the next year in her education journey.
