My Travel Story

I currently am 25, turning 26 in June, and am living with my parents (not by choice). My family has always been abusive (physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and verbally), to tell the entire story would take far longer than I would care to type - though if you want more details, just ask and I will do my best to answer every question.

I met my fiancée in August of 2017 and got "kicked out" in 2020 (would have actually ended up on the streets had it not been for the fact that my name is on the lease, making that more trouble for my parents than it was worth) and had everything set up to move. Ticket bought, passport appointment made, everything. But, as we all know, 2020 was not a good year. I ended up having to cancel my flight because the wait for a passport at the time was 2 years. I've had health issues pop up since then, making it impossible to save as much as I would like to once again attempt to get out.

Living here is draining and not safe in the slightest, and I am doing everything I can think of to get out of here finally. Leaving the country is my safest option, as my parents won't leave the country (and legally can't). I have a whole support system in Germany and even possibly a job (more methods of trying to save to get out are being looked at). With a support system already in place, a place to stay already available, Germany simply makes the most sense. I simply want to be with my loved ones, to feel safe in my own home.
