My Travel Story

It's one thing to simply dream about a destination, It's another to make it happen. From my first experience in Honduras, I knew traveling the world was a passion of mine and Costa Rica was going to be my next destination. I've always been someone who dreams big and has the drive to make it happen. For example, the begining of this year, I dreamed of moving to New York and starting a new life for myself. After pondering on it for months, I bought a one way ticket, packed up two suitcases and left. My expectation and the reality of New York was two seperate things. During that trip, I found so many depths of myself I never thought I would experience. I met a new level of strength, resilience, determination, love for myself, and new level of survival. Unfortunately, my journey ended with me in a homeless shelter, however thankfully my family back in Texas found a way to get me back home. Once I had a moment to be safe and ground myself again, it took time for me to move past the dissapointment of having to return home. What was I in search of? I wanted an adventure where I could be surrounded by community, love, and live. Than I came across a retreat that offered just that. An oppourtunity to experience sisterhood, adventure, joy, and restoration all in Costa Rica. After putting down my deposit, I'm determined to go however I need help. That's where you come in, anything donated is greatly appreciated. Your donations will be going towards my flight, passport and the trip itself. Thank you for helping me turn a dream into reality.
