My name is Maiad Trampe, a 39-year-old Filipino battling Melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. This diagnosis has turned my world upside down. As the breadwinner for my family, I'm facing a devastating financial burden.

Knowing that the cost of immunotherapy in the Philippines is prohibitively high – a staggering PHP 140,000 (USD 2,400) every three weeks – I sought alternative solutions. In my quest for healing, I've been accepted into a clinical trial in Singapore. This trial offers me access to cutting-edge immunotherapy, a promising avenue for treatment. While this significantly reduces the financial burden compared to treatment in the Philippines, the ongoing costs of travel – airfare, accommodation, and daily living expenses – during my bi-weekly trips from the Philippines to Singapore still pose a significant financial obstacle.
