My Travel Story

My name is Anjali, I am almost 16 years old and this summer I am planning on going on a solo volunteering trip to Arusha, Tanzania to teach women. The goal of my trip is to support and help women and their fight for gender equality. Women face discrimination an a daily basis and even more so in Africa, I will be helping in a variety of different ways from providing childcare, distributing contraception and menstrual products, assisting with a program that teaches women how to start businesses, and more. I will be going ideally in Early august and returning right before school starts. My previous experiences travelling and volunteering abroad have given me so many experiences I'll never forget, but now that I am old enough to venture alone, I can't wait to explore more of the world and help as many people as I possibly can.
