My Travel Story

For the past 2 weeks and next 3 months, I have been volunteering at an early childhood facility in Maramba, Zambia. The school caters to children who live below the poverty line, many are HIV positive.The school has an enrolment of 84 children. There are three small classrooms in the building and they are bursting at the seams. The school helps provide essential care, individual attention, education, and development support that is crucial to helping these children build better futures for themselves and their families.

Working at the school has been a fantastic, challenging, and humbling experience. While I am able to support teachers and students while I am here, they need ongoing help funding water bills, rent, food costs for the children, and essential school supplies. Your support on this project helps ensure these children have the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty.
