My Travel Story

Hello, I heard that there are people that have the means and like to help others, not sure where to start but here goes. I am a 4"7 ,mom in her 40's , my daughter is also a very talented 4"8 23 year old, my husband is in his 50's and now cannot work, and my friend/previous co-worker, who I adopted is in his 60's and cannot work , and will need hip surgery soon.
We are all a rag-tag, mis-matched, small group of people that have decided to be a family in this chaotic world. Why am I asking for assistance?
Well it started about 8 years ago, we moved from Denver , to a smaller  town in Colorado,  partly because on my side of the family  my daughter and myself don't really have any family, it was cheaper then how expensive Denver has gotten , not to mention the crime, etc. Plus we thought that my husband's family would be accepting. Strange thing is ever since we moved here we have had very interesting obstacles, ( more than the usual things that life throws at you lol), we have all now decided that there is some weird curse or something over this town lol. I am a little person but that has never stopped me, I have moved/traveled a lot , have done all sorts of interesting jobs, I like taking care of people so I have done everything from Waitressing, Installed Sales Coordinator, production Line Lead, Cashier, I even wanted to learn how to pinstripe cars, and I used to take lessons to fly ! Lol. 
My husband got his girl pregnant at a young age 15 ( I think), and did the right thing they got married, and had 2 more kids , and after 15 years she cheated, and left him to be a single Dad.
He has always worked hard even though he has been in some bad accidents ( one when he was 18 at his 1st day on the job, and he should have died).
After back surgery ( and pretty much learning to walk again), he has always given back to the community.  He started boxing when he was 7 and even after his Boxing career was over he has Coached other people , and tried to help keep kids off of the streets by donating his time, ( because most of the time he was not paid), up until about a couple of years ago.
Our daughter is a very talented 23 year old girl. Another reason we moved to this little town is because with as violent as the schools are getting and with as expensive as it was to live in the city, we thought we would move so our daughter could graduate at a nice school where there wasn't as much violence  and she could feel more comfortable,  she had been bullied in the past, and she is also a little person lol. At 4"8.
She has unfortunately lost all faith in her generation. 
And now there is my friend, He is a tall guy , from Texas , He is very well educated , worked for over 30 years in the corporate world , but is getting older , and has no family for support. 
Why would my husband be ok with this arrangement,  of letting this guy live with us , you ask? , well my friend is funny , and wonderful , but he is Gay.... and that is why his family pretty much treats him like the black sheep..
So my husband better watch out for advances, not me LOL. 
Anyway. My husband and myself decided about a little over 3 years ago that hey....they are paying people pretty well, and they are getting benefits at some of these Marijuana jobs..( I mean we live in Colorado,  and that's where it started anyway), so we did the background check and everything and paid the money to get our badges to work in the Dispensaries. 
After about 7 months of loyal employment,  my husband was walking through the parking lot , the ice and snow was not removed off of the lot or sidewalk area, he pretty much flipped and landed on his back, and that was it.
It was not disputed because it was all on Camera,  but he started going through workman's Comp, and then all of a sudden I got " laid off", and he got fired even though he was on Workman's Comp.
That's when we found out how shady, and powerful some of these people that own these Dispensaries are.
I even tried to get ahold of Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart,  and a couple of other people that I know are big into the Marijuana movement , and come to Colorado every year for 04/20 in Downtown Denver. 
( Everyone wants to treat these Dispensaries like any other job, but when things go south nobody wants to address how employees get treated.
Anyway, we had to get  lawyer, my husband went through very painful doctors appointments, scans,x-rays, etc. But he can't work anymore.....and even though he was able to Coach for awhile longer he can't even do his 1st love anymore.
In the meantime my daughter and myself have been working to try to keep us afloat, we both got a job at one of the big Grocery store's here, I started there a couple of months before her, and after almost 2 years of loyal employment, working in different departments, coming in at 4 am to make salads, help with inventory etc, stay and work 11 hour shifts with no bathroom, lunch,break, etc. When everyone just took off on a SuperBowl Sunday.....I got fired for eating ! LOL! , everybody in that whole store eats.
Why am I telling you all of this, you ask.? We have always been treated different here in this crappie town, we moved here so we could be closer to my husband's family, and my Mother in Law is getting older, in the 8 years that we have lived here, they have even treated us like outcasts...my husband included, we can't seem to get fair employment here, now that I am no longer at the store my daughter is still there, and half the time even though she has been there over a year and a half they don't give her very many hours... they give it to all of their friends that are from this town, ( it's funny because all three of us myself, my husband, and our daughter are natives of Colorado! Lol),  and the reason she doesn't go to management is because I went to management about a few things in that store, because of how crooked things were, and they looked for a reason to fire me .
When I worked there is where I met my friend that I adopted,  he is by himself with no family, and ever since he moved here he gets treated bad also.
It's strange , I have lived in quite a few different places, and I have never met soo many rude people in my life. 
Our lease is up at the end of February,  my husband is still fighting for his disability after 3 years, I got fired, my daughter works but doesn't always get good hours, and my friend is just board and lonely. 
He used to live in Las Vegas,  and said there are probably a lot of opportunities there for my daughter she can sing, dance, and is very talented with makeup,  the weather is warmer then Colorado, my husband hurts all the time. I also am getting older and have my own aches and pains, and with being a little person, people take it for granted that they can reach everything, they don't make anything for short people and the cold really bothers me now, also I am tired of being treated like an outcast here.... I don't even want to go outside and do anything because I am so disappointed in this town and the people.
My daughter is beautiful, young, and she won't even go out and enjoy herself on her day's off because she can't stand it here.
So we need to move our lease is up at the end of February,  and we might be able to stay with my friend for a little bit, while we all try to come up with money to move.
We might not be able to stay with him, and then things really get worse as far as we would have to figure out what to do with our , stuff, plus pay for a motel, food, etc 
So if you can find it in your heart to help it would be greatly appreciated,  you know with most of us older and with some health problems we are going to need to hire people to help  us move, plus money for, a van, we will need a place to move into, etc. So anything would help.
And maybe then this crazy, beautiful, young lady can smile again, and enjoy life, and have faith in this world again , because she says that she doesn't even like her generation,  none of them will work...lol.
And maybe this crazy,short, little old lady, lol...can feel like she can breath , and enjoy life , while she is trying to take care of everyone else.  Lol.
And maybe this old,  crusty, lol, disabled, man can not be in soo much pain in the warmer climate. 
And this tall , kinda awkward,  lol... nice man who deserves love too, even though he is gay.
Maybe, just maybe, our Dreams in Vegas can come true. Thanks.
