My Travel Story

by: Emily Kettlestring Start Date: Apr 9, 2016 - End Date: Jan 8, 2017
Gap Medics provides medical work experience placements in exciting locations overseas to students between 16-25. The location I have chosen is Monogoro, Tanzania.
I will spend time shadowing experienced midwives delivering babies, learning about the differences between healthcare at home and in developing countries overseas. In my free time, I will have the opportunity to volunteer at the local orphanage, and visit sites of cultural interest.
Your sponsorship will allow me to take part in this programme, which will give me a real insight into my chosen career, help make my UCAS application stand out from the crowd, and give me great talking points for interview. Above all, I will bene t from gaining an in-depth understanding of the disparities in global healthcare.
