My Travel Story

During my school years, I was dreaming to become a police officer. I was reading
adventure literature and everything that is relating to criminology. Since I
remember my self I analyzed social phenomena and I try to think ways to keep
people save. I am very sensitive to elderly people, to people with abnormal
behavior and generally to have a sense of protection to sensitive social groups.
However, I wasn't able to study policing due to my height so I decided to study
tourism management.
As I believe that dreams must come true I have tried in parallel with my studies to
work in the security sector. I have been working as a guard since 2019 and I
have been trained in the weapons guard and self-defense, as I think are skills
that might be useful for my future career in criminology. At the same time, I am
involved in sports in weightlifting and in Krav Maga (self-defence techniques) as I
find it important to have self-defence knowledge and keep myself fit. Even in my
free time, I enjoy watching interrogation documentaries or crime psychology
videos. I have also been trained on first aid and helped people. I socialize with
police officers and people in the profession to learn things about their job routine
and dream myself as part of this profession. I am a member of the Association of
Hellenic Bodyguards Association and I have attended various sort courses in the
field of security.
I chose to study in the United Kingdom for the well-organized educational system
and the opportunity that gives me to become a student in an area that I seek a
career in. I like the way of living in the UK as well as the British culture
