My Travel Story

Before applying to college, I was interested in studying abroad. My family immigrated from Mexico, and I learned about the cultural differences in America since Mexican culture heavily influences my household. It gave me an open mind about different people's values and views. I want to keep growing my knowledge of cultures to connect with people worldwide!

I plan to be a financial advisor when I graduate. I chose this career path because I saw my family's struggle due to a lack of understanding of money and finances. I want to help people expand their knowledge about their finances. Everyone has different goals and plans for their future. Studying abroad can help me become more culturally aware. Developing my understanding of these different cultures can help me understand their financial view.

As a teller, many Spanish native speakers appreciate how I can help them understand their bank accounts and assist with their questions. Learning a third language can further help me connect with a broader range of people.

After choosing to study abroad, I knew Japan was the country I wanted to learn in. It has one of the best educational systems, and Tokyo is highly innovative. Since my art appreciation class, I have loved their culture! My experience in Japan can help me grow as an individual and learn about others.

Unfortunately, I am a low-income student, and traveling abroad is expensive. I will post my journey on my social media! I appreciate your consideration, and any amount helps :)
