My Travel Story

Hi I'm A. I'm a junior in college and all my life I have been trying to please my parents, even following the career choices of my father and dropping what I loved doing which was fashion. Ever since quarantine started I have been home and my mental health isn't the best. I have told them that I had an offer in London and they quickly had disagreed but this my one last chance before turning into a senior and not getting relief from the stuff I have been enduring since quarantine started.  I had fundings for the trip but since my account was connected to my father's he has taken it out. I applied for a new card and now need these funds as soon as I can. I leave on December 20th. I need 5,000 in total to accommodate my stay, the class that I am taking during winter break, and a few items to survive (food). I know you might think it's not important but I am a South Asian and this step will change my future. I want to apply to grad school in the right state of mind. I want to take this step so that one day I can help South Asian women who are afraid to put themselves first have a place to come. I have been going through this since I was 15. It took a lot out of me to finally do this but I need my time away to focus on this class and write my essay for grad school. I had slipped my second year in college but picked myself up this past year even with the stuff going on at home. Please, this is coming from a person who loves to spread positivity and happiness, this is something that I probably should've done sooner but now is my chance. Anything means a lot and spreading it across would even mean more.
