My Travel Story

I have been of contributing towards SDG3 which is to promote good health and welbeing. In fact have been part of the team for above 7 years by serving as a Nurse in a resource limited country,Malawi however I enjoy every bit of  contribution I make. Now I want to upgrade myself through a Master of science program in Global health policy and Management at Brandeis university, Massachusetts USA. I chose this school because the program is focused on achieving UN SDGs and focuses on developing countries like Malawi. The school is 11th in health policy and directly exposes students to health policy analysts from world Bank, UN, WHO which aligns perfectly with my career goals. Besides, US leads in globally in terms of health systems management and policy  .
The knowledge and practical experience that I will get will be useful in pl3menting my career goals. I would like to participate in health policy analysis within the ministry of health in Malawi and globally. I believe that efficient health policies are a priority for improv d health. 
Malawi community will Directly benefit from this knowledge because just like many other developing countries,It is facing a wide range of health challengeea  such us unavailability of resources, inadequate staffing, natura disasters like floods etc. To overcome these, there is a need for practical strategies and teaming up of experts in the field who are aware of and are capable of implementing those strategies. So I know this is my opportunity to actively and significantly contribute towards the goal. so, I managed to pay part of tuition and visa expenses from my savings  but I am raising funds for my travel expenses now.
Being the only girl and only child with college education in a family of 10 gives me confidence that nothing can stop me from doing what I ought to do and become. If I moved from stage one then I can always reach the next.

Malawi has the potential it only needs the potent professionals.
