hello,
I am a single 30 yo male veteran 
no kids yet, never married. I want to have these things but first I want to travel before settling down. 

I've just recently started looking in to my ancestry on ancestry.com and I always heard, growing up, that my family originated in Germany which turned out to be true. I found out all kinds of interesting things about my ancestors from a Confederate P.O.W who was severely injured in the civil war,
to Augustine Herman ll who established the Bohemia plantation paid for by his highly detailed maps he created and sold during his  sailing expeditions.
I've been able to trace back to my  15th great grandfather who lived in saxony Germany during the 1500s. From what I can tell Germany has moved locations over the years so my Goal is to get over there and study the history of this migration. As well as grasp an understanding of how Pagan Saxony turned into the Holy Roman Empire. Also I want to trace my roots even further back but I'm limited here in America without access to any records of Them. I'm hoping to find answers there, I pray the records haven't been destroyed and that they are simply inaccessible here in America! 

When my travel is over, I will come back home raise some kids that will be proud of where they came from. I want to be able to tell them stories of adventures, trials, and tribulations our ancestors experienced on the long journey to America. I believe they will be better people knowing that we live in a melting pot of a country and we are all different people from different places with different stories to tell. I think if we all inspired our kids or others to seek joy in connecting with each other on this level. Then maybe it will be a small step in the right direction for bettering humanity or maybe it will be the cure that heals discrimination, racism, and hatred all together?! Will you help me make the first step?
