My Travel Story

Our names are Larissa and Emer. This summer, we are planning on going to Tanzania to help with renovations and building in July. We will be doing this with International Volunteer HQ.

As construction workers, we will assist with renovations in the local schools, childcare centres, kindergartens and the women’s centres in Arusha, Tanzania. By doing this programme, we will be supporting the learning and development of the local community.

We will be volunteering alongside a local foreman and the tasks may include:

• Brick laying
• Window repairs and replacement,
• Plastering
• Painting and decorating
• Small construction jobs
• Plumbing repairs

The money will be used to pay for programme fees, materials, flights, and vaccinations.
We would be grateful for any donations, small or large to contribute to our volunteer programme.
