Help Reed Turn His Dreams and Hard Work Into a Reality
My Travel Story
From a young age, Reed was drawn to working with his hands. While other kids were still figuring out what they wanted to be, he already knew. He loved watching sparks fly, learning how things were built, and imagining the day he could make a career out of doing what he loved most. What started as an interest quickly became a passion, and that passion has only grown stronger through the years.
One of the people who helped shape that passion was his Papaw.
Reed and his Papaw shared a bond that words can barely describe. He wasn't just a grandfather—he was a mentor, a role model, and one of Reed's biggest supporters. Papaw taught him the value of hard work, keeping your word, and taking pride in everything you do. Some of Reed's most cherished memories are the moments they spent together, talking about life, learning new skills, and dreaming about the future.
A few years ago, Reed lost his Papaw.
The loss left a hole in his heart that can never truly be filled. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't think about him. But even though Papaw is no longer here, the lessons he taught Reed live on. When Reed thinks about the future he wants to build, he thinks about making Papaw proud.
For years, Reed has dreamed of attending Western Welding Academy. He has talked about it, researched it, and worked toward it because he knows the opportunities it can provide. This isn't a spur-of-the-moment decision or a passing interest. It's a goal he has been chasing for years.
Attending Western Welding Academy would give Reed the training, certifications, and experience needed to build a successful career in the welding industry. It would allow him to turn his passion into a profession and create a future built on hard work, skill, and determination.
The only thing standing in the way is the financial burden.
The cost of tuition, travel, housing, tools, and other expenses is more than Reed can afford on his own. Like so many young people pursuing a skilled trade, he is willing to do the work—he just needs a helping hand to get there.
If you know Reed, you know he isn't the type to ask for anything. He's the type who works for what he wants. He's the type who shows up, puts in the effort, and keeps going even when things get tough. That's why we're asking on his behalf.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps bring him closer to the opportunity he has worked toward for so long. Whether it's $5, $25, or simply sharing this fundraiser with others, every act of support matters.
This isn't just about paying for a welding school.
It's about helping a young man fulfill a dream he's carried for years. It's about investing in someone who wants to build a future through hard work rather than handouts. It's about helping him honor the memory of the grandfather who believed in him and encouraged him to follow his passion.
We believe Papaw would be incredibly proud to see Reed taking this step. With your help, we can make sure he gets the chance.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, sharing, donating, and believing in Reed's future.
Together, we can help him carry his dream all the way to Western Welding Academy. ❤️
