My name is Aalanah and I've had a huge interest in Asian culture and languages since I was in early middle school. I am currently a Junior in High School and I want to do a study abroad in South Korea for my spring semester of my senior year. This will impact my education and my career because the future I see is me teaching students in Korean as a TEOFL teacher and also teaching the Korean culture and language to students here in the states. I think this will be an eye opener for the small town that I'm in when hearing about my experiences and expressing my motivation. This is meaningful to me because I've wanted to go abroad for a while now and finally feel like I'm personally ready to do so. Another reason that it's meaningful is because I can connect with my friends, interests, and even my future.
