My Travel Story

During the summer of 2023, I will be going on a study abroad trip, through Purdue University. I want to be able to travel the world and experience other cultures, but also have a purpose for traveling, not just for fun. As soon as I heard about a study abroad trip to Italy where you learned about animal production and environmental issues in Italy, I knew I had to participate. I had tried to apply to go on this trip in 2022, however, they decided to cancel and postpone until the following year. Not only will I be able to get to see animal production in another county, but I will also gain credits toward my major here at Purdue, Animal Sciences. This course Purdue offers in Italy, will give me experiences from different perspectives, help me grow as a student, and gain the knowledge I need to succeed and help others with my future career. There were only a few scholarships that would help with the cost of this specific trip, unfortunately, I have not received any. I have never been out of the country but have tried multiple times. Trips I have tried to go on have gotten canceled or postponed so many times, due to covid, so I am even more excited to go since this will be a first for me!
