My Travel Story

Those who've known me my whole live can vouch for the fact that I have been on the same path pretty much since birth. From watching Zoboomafoo with the talking lemur, to trying art... and only drawing animals, making endless projects on Jane Goodall, to studing veterinary science in high school, becoming a Zoo Ambassador and interpreter at Stone, to getting a degree in Animal Behavior and Environmental Studies, and now, almost 20 years old, I have been accepted into one of the coolest opportunites out there. 

For four weeks starting this June, I will be attending the School for Field Studies in their abroad course: Fundamentals of Wildlife Management in Tanzania, Africa. Every day I will either be on a safari expedition, camping trip, or in a classroom, learning Swahili, animal behavior, conservation ecology, resource management and policy, and so much more right from the source.  

I have worked so hard to get to this point, and I intend to seize any opportunity presented to me, regardless of the challenge. I still have a lot of work to do, and a lot to pay for.
