My Travel Story

It has been a dream of mine to volunteer and help baby turtle's get to the sea to start their lives. With this trip that dream can become a reality. A once in a life time opportunity where I will be able to support the survival of these magnificent and endangered creatures in Costa Rica. I will also be able to learn a new language, learn a new culture and immerse myself into a new lifestyle which I am so excited for.

My time volunteering will include lots of exciting and amazing opportunities including, assisting the local team with a range of tasks that contribute to the protection and survival of the turtles. I will be working a combination of day and night shifts which I'm ready to get started with.

My main responsbilities will include:
Beach patrols
Building hatcheries to protect eggs from predators
Locating nesting female turtles and monitoring behaviour
Collecting turtle eggs for protection measures
Counting and tagging sea turtles
Replanting mangroves
Beach clean-ups

 Any help to make this once in a lifetime opportunity become a reality is much appreciated.
