My Travel Story

I have always been enchanted by the Spanish Language and Culture because my father's family is from Cuba. Growing up, I would dream about the stories my Uncle Javier would tell me of Cuba. I was intrigued listening to my father and uncle converse in Spanish. At the age of six, I was taking Spanish lessons. Time became an issue and I wasn't able to continue my lessons for long. Now, in highschool I am taking my third year of foregin language and I crave more! In college, I plan to minor in Spanish and I beleive this trip will be able to take me to the next level and prepare me for more challenging courses. Spain has always been on the top of my bucket list, but the opportunity to study my favorite language and culture there is one that I can not pass up. Unfortunately, this dream of mine is an expensive one. I have been saving up, but without help from kind people like you, my family and I will not be able to make my dream come true. Thank you.
