I've now hit my fundraising target! Any extra funds will be donated to the Women's Education center I am volunteering at!

I am heading to Kathmandu, Nepal in August 2024 for 3 weeks to take part in a Women's Education Volunteer Project, part of IVHQ.

I will be supporting Nepalese women who missed out on education when they were younger by volunteering at local centres which provides a great opportunity for another chance at achieving school certifications. These education centres are well set up to cater for women between 16-55 for the equivalent to a Grade 10 or Year 11 education.

The women who attend the program are very committed to giving their education a second chance, and are often particularly interested in learning English and the education centres aim to help upskilling women who missed out on formal education in their youth. The practicality of speaking English gives their job prospects a huge boost, as does the qualification they are striving to achieve.

Having worked in two large global organisation, I have always been really passionate about supprort women and I feel this volunteering will allow me to grow on that passion.

I aim to raise £400 for the program fee. If I am able to raise any more money, all extra funds will be donated to the local centers I volunteer at.
