Children walk long distances in freezing temperatures to reach schools that often lack heating and supplies. Elderly men and women face illness without access to medical care. Families depend on livestock and fragile harvests, knowing that one storm, one illness, or one lost animal can mean hunger or tragedy.

Yet despite these hardships, mountain communities show remarkable resilience, dignity, and strength. What they lack is not courage, but support.
